Each Load Cell is capable of measuring the electrical resistance that changes in response and proportional to the voltage (eg pressure or force) applied to the disk. With this gauge, you'll be able to tell how heavy an object is, if an object's weight changes over time, or if you simply need to feel the presence of an object by measuring the tension or load applied to a surface.
