The Raspberry Pi Zero 2W is the latest in the most affordable range of single board computers developed by Raspberry Pi. This successor to the revolutionary Raspberry Pi Zero W, has a structure compatible with previous models of the Zero family and incorporates a 64-bit Arm Cortex-AS3 Quad-Core CPU with a clock speed of 1GHz.

At its heart is a System-in-Package (SiP) Raspberry Pi RP3A0, integrating a Broadcom BCM2710A1 die ( IC Pad used on Raspberry Pi 3) with 512MB of  LPDDR2 SDRAM. This improved processor gives the Raspberry Pi Zero 2W 40% more performance in single-threaded applications and up to five times the performance in multi-threaded applications when compared to a Raspberry Pi Zero.

The Raspberry Pi Zero 2W features 2.4GHz 802.11b/g/n wireless LAN and Bluetooth 4.2, as well as support for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and modular compliance certification. The board is powered via a MicroUSB plug, has a MicroSD card slot, a CSI-2 camera connector, a USB On-The-Go (OTG) and through-holes to solder a 40-pin GPIO header compatible with HAT .

The video output is via a mini HDMI port, but it is also possible to use composite video output via the test points provided for soldering. Raspberry Pi Zero 2W has a frame compatible with previous Zero family models and fits inside most existing Raspberry Pi Zero cases.
