Raspberry Pi Official Mouse
The Official Raspberry Pi Mouse has three buttons that activate high quality micro switches. Place the mouse on a flat and stable surface when using it. The mouse optically detects movement on the surface on which it is placed. On surfaces without these features, such as table tops or acrylic, the mouse cannot detect movement. When working on such a surface, place the mouse on a mat.
Connection Diagram
This is the setting we recommend to use the official Raspberry Pi, keyboard, hub and mouse together. The keyboard hub ensures easy access to USB drives and the mouse cable is neat while long enough to allow left or right-handed use of the mouse.
Note: It is important that the power supply is connected to Raspberry Pi and the keyboard is connected to Raspberry Pi. If the power supply were connected to the keyboard, with the Raspberry Pi powered via the keyboard, the keyboard would not function properly.
The Raspberry Pi Official Mouse is a three-button optical mouse that connects via a Type A USB connector to one of the keyboard's USB ports or directly to a compatible computer.
