With a brand new slim design, sleek lines and low thickness, LED V-TAC SLIM projectors are the lighting solution that allows the maximum reduction of energy consumption. Indeed, compared to conventional projectors with halogen incandescent lamps, LED V-TAC SLIM projectors consume up to 85% less electricity.
The lifetime of an LED projector far exceeds that of halogen lamps, and unlike these, where a very high share of the energy consumed is converted to heat, in LED technology the waste is minimal, resulting in a very low emission of heat.
Why not just replace the lamp in a conventional projector?
Despite the low heating compared to other lighting technologies, efficient chip cooling is essential for proper operation. The replacement of only the R7S type lamp with the current technology does not guarantee this efficient dissipation, since the typical structure of a halogen projector is prepared for lamps that operate at temperatures around 2500ºC, not allowing the LEDs to cool. The construction of single-body V-TAC projectors ensures that the LED chip, mounted with thermal mass next to the cooling fins suitable for dissipation, remains at the ideal operating temperature, thus maintaining its original characteristics and ensuring its longevity.
