ABS is a petroleum-derived thermoplastic, widely used in the industry, being one of the main materials that has been used in 3D printing.
It's a rigid thermoplastic, with great resistance to impacts, that has a slight flexibility when compared to the PLA, allowing a small deformation or flexion of the piece, depending on its geometry, which is good for parts that require fittings in their assembly. In addition to having a high impact resistance, ABS is also resistant to higher temperatures than other plastics used in 3D printing.
